11th and final Fast and Furious мoʋie will preмiere in 2025 says Vin Diesel

Vin Diesel, the actor who plays the character Dominic “Dom” Toretto in the Fast and Furious franchise, recently announced that the eleventh and final installment of the series will premiere in 2025. The previous films in the franchise have collectively grossed over $6.6 billion at the box office, and Fast X is set to be released on May 19th of this year. However, fans will have to wait another two years for the franchise’s grand finale, as Diesel revealed that the final film will be the second part of Fast X. This means that viewers will likely be left with a cliffhanger at the end of Fast X, and won’t find out what happens until the release of the final film.

Diesel made this announcement during his appearance at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, alongside his co-stars Tyrese Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, and Sung Kang. He acknowledged that Fast is now the longest-running franchise in movie history featuring the same actors playing the same characters, and expressed his pride in the franchise’s success over the last two decades.

The Fast and Furious franchise began in 2001 with the first film, which starred Diesel and the late Paul Walker as the two protagonists. The series has since grown in scale, with an ever-expanding cast and increasingly elaborate action set pieces.

Director Louis Leterrier, who is not involved in the franchise but has spoken to Empire Magazine about it, hinted at what fans can expect from the final film: “There’s a war brewing. It’s coming to an end, and it is a race to the finish. There will be some tremendous casualties. This one is big. I don’t want to oversell it, but what we’re planning on the next one is just gigantic, in terms of action, scope, and emotion.”

The tenth film, Fast X, will feature a star-studded cast including Brie Larson as a rogue representative for the agency, alongside returning actors such as Helen Mirren and John Cena. The official synopsis for Fast X teases that the film will be the beginning of the end, launching the final chapters of the saga.

In Fast X, Dom Toretto and his family will face off against a new and deadly opponent, fueled by blood revenge and determined to shatter this family and destroy everything—and everyone—that Dom loves forever. The story will take the characters all over the world, as new allies are forged and old enemies resurface. Ultimately, everything changes when Dom discovers that his own 8-year-old son is the ultimate target of his enemy’s vengeance.

Fast X will be released in theaters on May 19, 2023, and the final film in the franchise will premiere in 2025.
