On the 9th Anniversary of Paul Walker His Daughter Pays Touching Tribute
On the ninth anniversary of her father’s passing, Meadow Walker paid a special tribute to her late father, Paul Walker, by sharing an adorable throwback photo of themselves on her Instagram story. The 24-year-old model posted a black and white photo of her father teaching her how to bowl, with the caption, “9 years. I love you daddy,” along with a white dove emoji. She also shared the same photo on her main Instagram page and added a heartfelt message to her 3.7 million followers, “9 years without you. I love you so much my angel.”
Meadow frequently shares throwback photos of her father on her social media pages to keep his memory alive. During the recent Thanksgiving holiday, she shared a photo series to showcase what she was most grateful for, including another throwback picture of her late father holding her when she was a toddler. Paul and his ex-girlfriend, Rebecca Soteros, welcomed Meadow in 1998. At the time of his death, he had been dating Jasmine Pilchard-Gosnell.
In a previous interview with Page Six at the WSJ Innovator Awards, Meadow shared how she keeps her father’s memory alive by still watching his movies. She expressed, “They always say the first thing you forget about someone is their voice, so I’m fortunate enough to have his voice in many movies. I like to watch his movies at night. For me, it brings me joy to talk about him and keep his spirit alive.” Meadow has often shared additional tributes to her father, including birthday wishes and childhood pictures.
Last year in November 2021, Meadow honored her late father’s memory on the eighth anniversary of his passing by posting a baby photo of herself with Paul. She wrote, “I love you and miss you endlessly. Today and every day I celebrate your life, your love. And you, my best friend.” Paul’s Fast And Furious co-star and godfather to Meadow, Vin Diesel, also shared a tribute on Instagram to remember the late actor. Vin uploaded an old photo of himself sharing a laugh with Paul, with the caption, “Nine years…love you and miss you.”
Vin Diesel has also opened up in the past about his relationship with Meadow over the years, especially after her father’s tragic death in a car accident. During an interview with Extra, he revealed that he feels very protective of Paul’s daughter and added, “She takes good care of me. She’s the first person on Father’s Day to wish me Happy Father’s Day. To see her with my children is one of the most beautiful things.” Vin also walked Meadow down the aisle when she tied the knot with Louis Thornton-Allan last year in 2021.
