Football superstar Neymar, who plays for Paris Saint-Germain, celebrated the arrival of the new year in a luxurious three-day party held in his underground bunker near Sao Paulo. The Brazilian athlete spared no expense as he hosted a pool party, complete with live music and fireworks.

Despite being on crutches due to an injury, Neymar was seen dancing on the dancefloor in the underground disco. The party was attended by his family and friends who enjoyed the lavish celebration.

Neymar has previously faced criticism for his partying habits, but he has defended himself and claimed that he will never stop partying. To ensure that the festivities did not leak to the public, he implemented strict rules on his guests, prohibiting them from bringing phones and cameras into the bunker.

However, some images from the event have now surfaced. The Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo reported on the party and how Neymar took great measures to keep it a secret.

The guests at the party were dressed in all-white clothing which is customary for a Brazilian New Year’s party and symbolizes good luck. A full stage was set up in the bunker for a band, visible with instruments. There was also a large dancefloor in front of it, and it appeared that there was a video link set up above the stage.

Neymar was expected to spend New Year’s with his new girlfriend, Bruna Biancardi, whom he was photographed with in the stands at PSG’s home match against Nantes a fortnight ago. Bruna was introduced to Neymar’s family over Christmas and also attended the party, although she was not captured in any of the pictures that have emerged from the event.

Neymar has been ruled out of action for up to eight weeks since November due to a tackle injury during a Ligue 1 clash with Saint-Etienne. However, before Christmas, he posted a video of himself doing gym work in Brazil, updating PSG supporters on his rehabilitation.
