Neymar Parties with Teammate Kylian Mbappe as he His Response Clears to Transfer News.
Over the weekend, the PSG strike pairing of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe attended the 25th birthday celebration of French fashion model Cindy Bruna at the Lutetia Hotel in Paris, just a few hours after their victory over Bordeaux. The duo received a lot of attention at the party, as they mingled with other guests.
PSG is currently leading the Ligue 1 standings after securing their sixth win of the season against Bordeaux, thanks to Neymar’s 70th-minute winner. The team has amassed 18 points from eight matches, with Neymar sharing the club’s top scorer position.
Neymar had been strongly linked with a move away from PSG during the summer transfer window, but his failed attempt to secure a transfer back to his former club Barcelona seems to be the last thing on his mind. Despite his fans’ disappointment, Neymar has been reintegrated into the team by coach Thomas Tuchel, and the results have been positive. The Bordeaux match was the first time Tuchel was able to play both his star men following Mbappe’s recovery from injury, and they were clearly pleased about it.
Neymar and Mbappe have formed a good relationship on and off the pitch. Mbappe had urged Neymar not to leave during the summer, stating in August, “I want Neymar to stay with us. I do not want him to leave. I have said this to him. Everything is going well between us.”
They attended Cindy Bruna’s birthday party together and have been tipped for individual accolades by former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba. “Neymar and Mbappe will one day win the Ballon d’Or,” Drogba said. “They are part of this small group of exceptional players. There are very few in the world.”
Italian midfielder Marco Verratti was also present at the party, and Neymar spent time with Bruna, who spoke about their playing styles, saying, “Neymar likes to create spaces and Kylian likes to move into those spaces. Neymar creates, and Kylian profits. It works very well. Just watch them when they are together on the pitch.
They are constantly looking for each other. It’s almost the first thing they do when they touch the ball. It is obvious that when they are not on the pitch, PSG are not as strong.”
PSG’s next match will be away at Galatasaray on Tuesday night.
