Neymar, the most expensive footballer in the world, made a young girl’s dream come true by meeting her on Monday. The girl, Ana Clara, suffers from Hutchinson-Gilford Progeria Syndrome, a rare genetic disease, and had made a video request to meet her hero, which went viral.

Neymar responded to the call and was greeted with a massive hug when he arrived to meet the little girl.

Ana Clara was delighted to meet Neymar, and the Brazil international posted pictures of himself with Ana Clara, including one of the pair holding up a T-shirt with the message, “Dream as much as you can, always do.

Never give up.” Neymar also posted the same message on Instagram alongside the pictures. Progeria is a rare genetic disease that affects only 1 in 18 million people worldwide.

The condition causes aspects of aging, such as hair loss, to take hold at an early age, and sufferers typically live to their mid-teens to early twenties.
