Michelle Rodriguez revealed that her climactic fight sequence with Charlize Theron for Fast X was done without a director on set. The pair wanted to continue filming while Fast X switched directors. Original Fast X director Justin Lin left the production amid rumors of disagreement with the Fast and Furious lead star Vin Diesel.

Aside from her working experience with Theron for Fast X, she also admitted that she was impressed with Jason Momoa. Pertaining to Momoa, she said,

“His revenge with a smirk is an interesting way to start off the beginning of the end of a saga.”

She’s been with the franchise for so long, and she’s had fond memories of filming for these films. While she’s pleased with how the film turned out, she has a bittersweet feeling since it’s the beginning of the end. Despite this, Michelle Rodriguez is excited to share the movie with fans. She said,

“I’ve got to say, there’s a lot of nostalgia there, but, at the same time, I think that people are going to be shocked at how we end this first movie. Because it is not really an ending, but it’s also like, “You can’t do this to us. We’re your die-hard fans, you can’t do this to us!” You’re going to feel so cheated in a way, but then so gratified and excited about what’s to come. I can’t divulge more than that, but get ready for a shocker. After 23 years of shooting these things, it’s really tough at this stage to shock me, and they got me good.”
