“It’s the biggest match that WWE Could do” – RAW Star Plans to dethrone Roman Reigns! OMG
Despite his loss at WWE WrestleMania 39, Cody Rhodes has reaffirmed his ambition to dethrone Roman Reigns and win the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. Rhodes, who had returned from injury earlier this year and won the 2023 Men’s Royal Rumble match, had challenged Reigns for the title at WrestleMania 39.
However, The American Nightmare was unsuccessful in his quest, with Reigns retaining his championship after interference from Solo Sikoa. In a recent interview with ComicBook Nation, Rhodes confirmed that his goal remains the same, and he is determined to win the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship from Reigns.
My ultimate objective as a sports entertainer and a wrestler remains the same, and that is to win the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship currently held by Roman Reigns. Although I acknowledges that other storylines and milestones may arise but my primary focus is on achieving this championship, which I believes is the most significant match that WWE can offer.
However, the 37-year-old Monday Night RAW star believes it will not be easy to get his rematch against the leader of The Bloodline.
“But it would take a great deal of mountains to be moved for that rematch to even happen. So, the goal is the same for me and I just have to kind of see it through and do the work,” Rhodes added. [13:24 – 13:35]
Cody Rhodes will face Brock Lesnar at WWE Backlash:
Following his defeat against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39, Cody Rhodes was scheduled to participate in a tag team match with Brock Lesnar as his partner, against The Tribal Chief and Solo Sikoa in the main event of Monday Night RAW.
However, before the match could begin, Lesnar unexpectedly attacked Rhodes. Subsequently, Rhodes challenged Lesnar to a one-on-one match at Backlash, and the two will face each other for the first time ever in Puerto Rico next Saturday.
