Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham’s action-packed film, ‘Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw,’ continued its remarkable success at the Indian box office on its second day. After a strong opening day, the film maintained its momentum, collecting a staggering Rs 11.75 crore on its first Saturday, bringing its total earnings to an impressive Rs 22.75 crore in just two days. This success came at the expense of Sonakshi Sinha’s film, ‘Khandaani Shafakhana,’ which struggled to perform well at the box office due to the competition from ‘Hobbs & Shaw.’

Directed by David Leitch and featuring Idris Elba, Vanessa Kirby, and Helen Mirren, ‘Hobbs & Shaw’ is the ninth installment and a spin-off of ‘The Fast and the Furious’ franchise. Despite facing competition from other releases, the Hollywood blockbuster continued to dominate the Indian box office. The film’s opening day collections rank as the sixth-highest ever for a Hollywood film in India. The film’s multi-lingual release in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages further broadened its reach and appeal to audiences across the country. Notably, ‘Hobbs & Shaw’ clashed with the release of Sonakshi Sinha-starrer ‘Khandaani Shafakhana,’ which struggled to attract audiences compared to the high-octane action spectacle of ‘Hobbs & Shaw.’
