Fast And Furious 9: Vin Diesel’s stunt double films a high-octane chase scene in a £150k sports car outside Buckingham Palace
A stunt double for Vin Diesel was caught on camera filming a high-speed chase scene along The Mall outside Buckingham Palace in London. The chase was filmed in the early hours of Sunday morning and roads around the palace were closed for filming.
The stunt double was driving a Noble M600 sports car, worth £150,000, and bore a striking resemblance to the Fast and Furious star.
The film crew had returned to work after nearly two months following an incident where a body double fell 30ft on set and was left fighting for his life.
The upcoming sequel, which is set to release in May 2020, will feature Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Dame Helen Mirren, Charlize Theron, and new addition wrestler-turned-actor John Cena.
Cena’s character is described as a “bada**.”
The ninth installment of the franchise was halted in July 2019 after a safety cable reportedly snapped and a stuntman fell from a balcony on set, putting the stuntman in an induced coma. The film also features another stunt double for Vin Diesel, Joe Watts, who was also injured on the set in July.
