Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Stresses on the Importance of Core Strength While Recalling a Match That Tore His Abdomen Wall in 2013: “Super Beneficial to Your Gains”
It’s well known to all that pro wrestling is an accident-prone business and the wrestlers who perform consistently suffer an injury now and then. However, sometimes a severe injury turns out to be a life lesson, similar to what happened with Dwayne Johnson. One of his major abdomen injuries enlightened the legend to stand by a rule throughout his life.
Apart from his celebrated career as an actor, The Rock is also famously known as a former wrestler. And in his tenure in WWE, he has attained much fame and popularity. However, during that time, one of his well-known matches caused the legend to tear his abdomen and adductor muscles off the bone. Even though it cost him so much, one cannot deny that it was a part of his job. However, taking a life lesson from it was his wise choice.
Dwayne Johnson motivates fans by sharing valuable life lesson involving himself
Being the social media scholar that Johnson is, he posted a working-out video of him a few hours back. But this wasn’t any other training video. Through it, The Rock shared one of his crucial life lessons.
In the video, you can see The Most Electrifying Man on Sports Entertainment doing an abdomen exercise. Even though he feels that he isn’t capable of giving abdomen advice after what happened to him in WrestleMania 29 while fighting against John Cena, his post is quite motivating.
In the caption of his Instagram post, he made it clear how that one incident from 2013 has taught him to strengthen his abdomen wall. And now that he has learned the hard way, The Rock wants to spread the message to everyone.
A part of his caption said, “I’ve found that a strong core/tight abdomen wall is super beneficial to your gains”
The Rock’s abs have been a concern for some of his admirers over the years. Even in one interview, the WWE legend had to shed light on why his abs look a bit different.
The Rock opened up about his not-up-to-the-par abs
In 2021, in a candid interview with WIRED, Johnson sat down with Jungle Cruise co-star Emily Blunt to answer the internet’s most frequently asked questions. And to answer one of the questions about its abs, The Brahma Bull opened up.
He said, “The problem was, which a lot of people don’t know, in a wrestling match, I tore the top of my quad off my pelvis. It went bang in a wrestling match. And then what that did, that caused a chain reaction and it tore my abdomen wall. So then I had to do a triple hernia emergency surgery…so, they’re not, like, perfect abs.”
