Goldberg Declines to face a Controversial WWE star!

After a break of more than 12 years, WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg made a comeback to the company in 2016. At Survivor 2016, he destroyed Brock Lesnar in a squash match. In 2017, he defeated Kevin Owens to win the Universal Championship. At WrestleMania 33, he competed against Brock Lesnar in one of the main events to defend his championship.

According to his contract, Vince McMahon is only allowed to have him participate in one additional match per year, therefore it must be significant. It may have been his retirement match since it was said to be his final match under his contract. A serious illness had also previously been identified in Goldberg.

At WWE SummerSlam and WWE Crown Jewel on October 21st, 2021 in Saudi Arabia, respectively, he faced Bobby Lashley twice. In the subsequent match, Goldberg defeated Lashley. The WWE Hall of Famer hasn’t appeared on WWE television since that time. In a match for the WWE Universal Championship on February 19 in Saudi Arabia, Goldberg faced off against Roman Reigns. The match was ultimately won by the Tribal Chief as well.
